What is this? It's a BMW seat cushion foam pad with an occupant sensor, the sensor is basically a switch that arms the passenger side air bag when seat is occupied.


Aftermarket cooling fans are available but you would need perforated leather or cloth seats.

BMW air contitioned seat, it uses muffin fans to blow air through the foam, fish net like padding and perforated leather to cool the driver from below
